Our philosophy... Quite simply, we love weddings. The emotions, the tension, the pure romance, the dresses... all the essential details, that add up to the most wonderful day of your life. We believe your wedding photographs will become your most treasured posessions, so we take the greatest care to get results you'll love, using professional digital cameras and equipment, years of experience, and our artistic flair for creating great images even in challenging situations. From a style point of view, we are chameleon photographers. We try to blend in and be unobtrusive through most of a wedding, to be able to capture the wonderful spontaneous moments that unfold. That can't happen if we drag you off for hours to pose in front of a fountain. We're fashion led, inspired by contemporary magazine style photography, and happy to do photographs of traditional groups where requested, but prefer to keep them quite informal - think Harpers magazine rather than Country Life! We also like to develop our images a bit further with photoshop - using subtle retouching techniques where appropriate - airbrushing is one way of describing it! We've developed our service based on what modern couples want - we know you're not interested in copyright, but want spontaneous, informal, unobrusive photography, and images that you can use to create wonderful albums, post on the web, send to your friends, and make copies that don't cost the earth.

For smaller intimate weddings you can choose one photographer, for larger weddings you could choose to have two photographers, this also gives the opportunity to have one at the venue while the other is at the bride's home, or for one to be discreetly shooting candid shots while the other is doing the groups. Its also your choice how long we stay - from the brides home until the fireworks, or any time in between. It's fine with us, because its your wedding, not ours! Obviously our fees change depending on the time spent.

Years working as a freelance photographer for newspapers has honed the skills needed for contemporary wedding photography - anticipation of the events as they unfold means we can be in the right time at the right place to get the perfect shot as accurately as a sniper!

We've photographed weddings in catholic churches, stately homes and register offices, from the Lake District to London, and from Barnsley to Bakewell, and from Cyprus to Sheffield. Every wedding is unique and we aim to take photographs that people will treasure forever, to provide a record of a day that even without all the kitsch, expense and tradition is an unforgettable celebration of love and commitment.  Being a part of that day, albeit as a hired hand, is an honour that we never take for granted.
